Ireland was Amazing!!!!!

Hello All

So I just got back to London on Monday after a wonderful week in Ireland. I arrived in Dublin on Tuesday and stayed at a families B&B there for the night and just walked around Dublin for the day. I also had my first Guinness which I liked so I had many more throughout the week :) Then on Wednesday I took the train to Limerick and stayed there Wednesday night. I went out to eat in Limerick and then to a pub that had live music that night. It was very fun but a little disappointing because the band didn't play Irish music it was just regular cover music we would hear at home... Still very fun and I met a very cute Irish boy named John!!!

Then on Thursday morning I went down to Adare about a 20 minute drive from Limerick to visit the one and only Adare Manor. It was unbelievable... So beautiful I wanted to leap out of the car to see it! I am still waiting to hear back but hopefully that is where I will be working very soon. So after that I took the train up to Galway. I stayed in Galway Thursday and Friday and had a great hotel room with a wonderful few of River Corrib and of the Galway bay. Galway was and is as beautiful as I imagined and I really loved it there. It was very cold there seeing with is right on the water... I went for a long walk along the water and beach! The next day I went and collected my first bag of sand for my collection. It started to rain on me at this point so I had to run to the beach and get my sand and then walk very quickly back to the hotel. It was so windy and cold but after that rain it was a beautiful day. I just walked around Galway for 2 days and enjoyed the city.

On Saturday I took the train back to Limerick and then back down to Adare Manor so I could work a shift to see if I like it (how could I not I was working in a castle)!!! They also but me up in a very nice room there that night so it was pretty much a wonderful day. Except I only had my high heals to wear with my suit so my feet were killing me by the end of the day...

Oh and I didn't get to watch the UT-OU Red River Rivalry but I know I didn't miss much...

So Sunday it was back to Dublin for me and I just walked around for hours once I arrived back. I went out that night and that is when the train wreck arrived.... I went to the pub I went to on Wednesday for lunch and there was this women I would say was at least 10 years older than me in a dress she shouldn't have been wearing and she was hanging on these 2 boys and I say boys because they were to young for me to hit on... She was such a hot mess I couldn't even watch with fear of laughing out load....

Well I am back in London and just waiting to hear about the job stuff and enjoying London while I am still here... Everyone keep their fingers crossed I get the job at Adare Manor I have wanted to work there for over a year now.

Lots of Love from London/Ireland and I will talk to you soon!

Another Beautiful Day in London! Happy Game Day!!! Go Horns \m/

Hi Everyone!
Sorry it has been a while since my last post, it has been a long week!

First I want to start by saying HOOK 'EM HORNS and I am so excited to watch the game tonight finally, have been missing my Horns and good ole American football! This Soccer isn't cutting it.... I have my slingbox set up so I am ready to go!

It is a beautiful day in London today and I have an exciting day planned. This afternoon I am going to the place to be on a nice Saturday afternoon in London. To the little Champagne Bar on the 5th floor of Harvey Nickol's department store for an afternoon cocktail!! From what Jay and Jennifer said it is the place to be and be seen so that is were I will be! And bonus I went to H&M and Zara's yesterday so I have a new sweater and a fabulous new coat to wear because it is a sunny 50 degree day! Then I think I am going to walk through Hyde Park.

So what did I do this week. I had 2 interviews at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in Hyde Park corner so keep your fingers crossed. I also have an interview at a fine new hotel property that hasn't even opened yet outside of London on Monday. It is Coworth Park. It will take your breath away. I walked around Covent Garden for hours on Tuesday and is by far my favorite place so far. I took a tour of the city on the hop on hop off bus on Thursday (this first rainy day so far) but it was still fun. My camera battery died half way through so I will have to get more pictures at a later date.

Also I am going to Ireland on Tuesday till Monday to travel around and see if there are any jobs there. I can't wait for that so I will be sure to post from Ireland!

Well that is all I have for now. I am off to be a fashionable Londoner before tonight when I am back to a Texas Longhorn for the night!!!

Lots of love from the other side of the pond!

Me and Jet Lag aren't friends!!!

Hello all,
Third day in London and I have decided I don't like jet lag. I was hoping I would be able to skip right over that part but... ummmm no. I have been up wide awake in the middle of the night the last 2 morning... No fun...

But yesterday was eventful! All I need to say is 2 words... Harrod's and H&M!!! And those 2 words equal HEAVEN for miss Megan!!! I walked around a lot yesterday in the neighborhood and that is how I found H&M!! Went to lunch at Harrod's and had a fabulous lunch with jay. Wine and a amazing piece of Halibut... Inside Harrod's are like 20 different lunch counters from... chicken to sushi to dim sum to seafood (i swear they had prawns that were like a foot long!) to caviar and it doesn't stop there! It was so neat I just walked around speechless with big wide eyes!

And good news there is a whole foods here so hopefully I can get some foods from home there!!!

Also I found a potential pub that I may be able to see a few games at. Well at least games that are morning or afternoon and on ESPN. I feel sad I didn't get to watch any of the game yesterday but I see we pulled it off! Hook'em Horns!!!!

I did nothing today but hang out in bed and try to get on London time!

I am planning on going and seeing the sites this week so I am very much looking forward to that! I will take lots of pictures I promise!!!

Well the weather is beautiful here Friday and Saturday were sunny and in the 60's and today was overcast but nice and cool!!! Haven't seen any rain yet!

Well I love everyone and talk to you soon!
